ABQ Trolley Guys Revive ABQ in a Box

ABQ in a Box original design

Jesse Herron and Mike Silva continue to find interactive, fun ways to share Albuquerque’s unique charm. The original “Trolley Guys” and co-founders of Albuquerque Tourism & Sightseeing Factory (AT&SF), are excited to announce their new business venture: ABQ in a Box. Albuquerque in a Box originally made headlines in 2015 when it was launched by Kyle Thordahl, a UNM business student. The Trolley Guys met with Thordahl in May 2018 and offered to revive his former concept, knowing Thordahl had decided to delve deeper into other business opportunities.

“I’m excited that I get to see Albuquerque in a Box live on,” says Thordahl. “When Jesse and Mike expressed interest, I knew there was nobody better to take over sharing the best of ABQ. I look forward to seeing the great places they take it.”

With a fresh look and update for 2018, ABQ in a Box just launched a holiday edition that will ship in time for Christmas. Pre-order online at ABQinaBox.com beginning December 5th or pick up locally at AT&SF headquarters, located inside the Hyatt Regency downtown at 330 Tijeras Ave NW, Suite Q starting December 18th. ABQ in a Box delivers to anywhere in the country, including overseas military addresses. Domestic shipping is free.

The 9-item holiday box features local salsa, biscochitos from Rude Boy Cookies, a New Mexico state-shaped cookie cutter, pinon coffee from Sol Rio Coffee, green chile fudge, a New Mexico Christmas cookbook and other locally sourced items. The company plans to offer customizable and curated boxes available in early 2019.

“ABQ in a Box is a perfect gift option that works seamlessly with our focus on being the ‘Albuquerque experts,’” says Silva. “It’s the ultimate Albuquerque souvenir,” adds Herron.
